Good Skate Shoes? What are some good skate shoes that look good right now?
If you could send links with a pic that would be great.
1. Fallen Footwear
Fallen makes incredible skate shoes. Jamie Thomas owns the company, and has made it clear that he doesn’t want to simply make more skateboarding shoes – he want to make high quality premium skate shoes that look great and provide everything you need. Plus, for you planet-conscious skaters out there, Fallen makes shoes free of animal products. Take a look at the Fallen Troopers – easily the coolest looking skate shoes I’ve tested to date. And they skate well, too! Fallens are some of my favorite skate shoes to wear.

2. Vans Skateboarding Shoes
Vans has been around since the beginning, and along the way they’ve learned how to make great skate shoes. Vans skateboarding shoes are some of the best, easily. From the classic canvas Vans classic slip ons (which I don’t recommend for skating unless you know what you’re doing, or don’t mind replacing them soon) to Vans beefier models, like Geoff Rowley’s Rowley XL2s or Dustin Dollin’s No Skools. Vans is a core skateboarding company – you can rest comfortably knowing you are buying quality when you buy Vans.

3. DC Skateboarding Shoes
DC Shoe Co USA makes some good shoes, though over the last few years I’ve heard a lot of complaints about them being too mainstream, or that the quality of DC has gone down. The mainstream problem is up to you, but I haven’t seen a drop in quality at all. With , “Super Suede”, and years of making excellent skate shoes, they know what they are doing. DC likewise includes an H2Zero line – shoes treated to block out water, snow and slush, with extra tread. Perfect for snowskates and snow days. Check out the DC H2Zero Alias:
Etnies have a bright, quick, sleek look, and a skate team with riders like Rune Glifberg, Ryan Sheckler and Elissa Steamer. Etnies do tend to come with wimpy laces, but that’s not a good enough reason to not get a pair. Mostly, Etnies skate shoes work well and last long enough to not tick off your parents or wife when you need to replace ’em. Etnies likewise includes great girl’s skateboarding shoes, and etnies dumps a lot of money back into the community, giving away tons of shoes every year to the homeless in Southern California.
Osiris. Osiris skate shoes aren’t my favorites so much lately, but they do make some of the best puffy-style skateboarding shoes you can get. Plus, they have their “private reserve” line, which are regular models, the most popular ones, made with better materials and some insole art. If you want Osiris skateboarding shoes, I recommend paying the extra for the private reserve shoes (though really, it’s not that much more). The Ruger is pretty nice, and so is the Chino Low.
Emerica makes good skate shoes, and runs a strong skateboarding team with pros like Andrew Reynolds, Jerry Hsu and Ed Templeton. Skateboarding shoes like the Emerica Reynolds 3 certainly help, with its solid proven design. Emerica likewise includes some strong designs and style – try the Kirchart 4s, and see what I mean. Emerica is closely related to Etnies, so if you like one, you might like the other.
Adio has a ridiculous team. Tony Hawk, Bam Margera, Shaun White, Jeremy Wray … the list keeps going. But what about the shoes? They’re good. Adios are well built and highly skateable – it’s usually a bad idea to base your purchases off of who endorses the product, but you know that guys with names this big don’t want to be associated with crud. Check ’em out. Their pro model skateboarding shoes all come named after the rider, then a version number. That’s it. So, check out Adios and give ’em a shot. You should be happy.
8. Nike SB
Nike Skateboarding (SB) shoes have been bashed for being ugly, Nike has been bashed for edging in on skateboarding, and meanwhile the Nike skateboarding team has been growing, their shoes have been getting better and more refined. The bottom line is, Nike knows how to make shoes, and Nike skateboarding shoes are well made with great features. The Nike Dunk is still the most popular Nike SB shoe all over the planet, while shoes like Paul Rodriguez’s P-Rod II looks good and skates very well. Nike likewise includes another arm that makes skateboarding shoes – Nike 6.0.
I-Path has an Earthy style all their own. Check out the I-Path Cats – they claim they’re the most comfortable skateboarding shoes around. Full suede upper stained to natural browns with strong stitching and cord laces, the I-Path Cats look almost like moccasins. And that’s the idea. If you’re looking for a more quiet, earthy, or comfortable style, check out I-Path’s lineup of skateboarding shoes.
Hope I’ve Helped!!!

Shoe Odor Prevention
Since we now know that shoe odor is caused by bacteria requiring warm and moist environments, we should make our footwear inhospitable to them. The best (and easiest) method of keeping foot and shoe odor at bay is to keep your feet and shoes dry! Here's some tips:
oAfter your showers take care to dry your feet well, especially the spaces between your toes. If your feet are moist when you put on your shoes then your shoes are going to be moist, and you'll have just created a nice, warm stink incubator.
oIf you suffer from excessively sweaty feet, apply an anti-perspirant to your feet to help keep them dry and coat the inside of your shoes with talcum powder to absorb any excess moisture.
oWear thick, cotton socks and change them as often as is needed to keep your feet dry. Stay away from synthetic materials because they don't absorb moisture or breathe as well as cotton.
oIf your shoes ever get moist or wet, let them dry completely before wearing them again. You can stuff them with newspaper, coat them with talcum powder, or even throw them into the dryer (shoe-care-instructions permitting) - but don't put them back onto your feet!
If 'kicking off your shoes' at the end of a long day magically clears the room (and that's a bad thing), we've got some easy, home remedies to get rid of your home-made shoe cheese. It's important to remember that you're not just combating a smell, you're also combating living bacteria that produce the smell - if you just attack the odor and leave the bacteria then you've only fought half the battle. Kill the bacteria and then remove the odor. Here are some easy ways to do just that:
oWhen you remove your shoes for the evening, coat the insides thoroughly with baking soda, seal them in a plastic bag, and put them in the freezer until morning. The cold will kill the bacteria, and the baking soda will absorb the odor. When you pull them out, set them in a well ventilated area for a while to dissipate any excess moisture that remains.
oIf you don't have room in your freezer, pour or spray just enough rubbing alcohol into your shoes to coat the insides and then place them on their sides in a well ventilated (but unpopulated) area. The rubbing alcohol will kill the bacteria and evaporates quickly. Afterwards, coat the insides with a little baking soda (For other uses of baking soda, read how to make baking soda applications) to soak up any remaining odor or moisture.
oIf these methods leave you in the lurch, experiment with different products (usually powders and sprays) that are designed to eliminate foot and shoe odor.
Remember, it's all about the bacteria! Keeping your feet and shoes dry will prevent it from growing, and cold or alcohol will kill it off quickly. Please leave any tips you may have using the form at the bottom of this page. MonsterGuide.net also writes a great article and teaches us how to cure smelly feet.

Shoes…………………………………………………………………………………………… Im 23 and wear a 7-1/2. Where can I find some shoes that light-up in the heel? Like the old skool L.A. Gears. Store names, websites, etc?
Famous footwear is awesome place for shoes!
Shoe Carnival Vs. Famous Footwear….Which Is Better? I’m trying to get all my school outfits and things ready for this year so…..considering the prices and shoes they sell, which shoe store is better?
Thank You :))
I really like both stores. I haven’t been to a shoe carnival in a while but it seemed like their shoes were more geared to a younger teens and twenties crowd and famous had shoes for younger and older.
Here’s shoe carnival’s “shop by brand” page so you can see what brands they have http://www.shoecarnival.com/brands/All.aspx

How Often Do I Wash My Shoes?(any Kind Of Footwear)? Whenever i get shoes i never really wash them because when i see that they are in bad condition i just get new ones but now i can’t as i can’t economically…so how often should i was my shoes(any kind)
Never, never, never wash anything leather!!! Always take them to a trusted shoe repair. With canvas, if there is no ornamentation, you can use a damp washcloth to freshen them up. With synthetic phony leather, you can be a bit more aggressive and use some gentle soap with the damp washcloth. Phoney patent leather responds well to watered-down Windex. The best way to keep your shoes fresh and clean inside is to always wear peds, hose, or socks. If you drive with your shoes, put a cut carpet pad where the heel of the shoe rests depressing the gas pedal. Aquire some polish in your shoe colours and clean up any scuffs as soon as they appear. Keep tissue paper pads in the shoes and store them in shoe boxes. My mother and I have as many pairs of shoes as Imelda Marcos and love each and every one of them…..some are at least 20 years old or more!
Teens: What Type Of Shoes/footwear Do You Prefer To Wear In A Mall? Which type of shoes you would not wear?
I go for comfort : ]
So I go for either my lovely green low top converses or my multicoloured high tops. I have too many converses to pick! x3
I also prefer wearing no shoes at all. I went through my last holiday barefoot for 2 whole weeks. I did not see the need to wear shoes on the beach so just continued to not wear them. It’s better for your feet too : D
I would not wear heels to a mall. It’s a tad over the top!
What Are Some Awesome Shoe Stores? I’m a teenage girl and I’m looking for some cool shoes stores! I love flats and I also love the nike tennis-shoe shoxs…. My style is bright and colorful, you can’t go wrong with unusual patterns and designs!… if that helps you understand my style of shoes. okay, thanks for the help! BYE!
