As an industry leader in technology, GT has made a name for itself by consistently setting the standards by which the competition obeys. GT Bicycles have been at the forefront of success in the World’s top mountain biking events, such as the 2013 World Cup at Fort William and Val di Sole, where Rachel and Gee Atherton took double victories at both (back to back) events. GT does not only strive for success in the Elite level of racing, but at all levels and in all disciplines for all riders. Take a gander at the 2014 Sensor collection, and you’ll be quick to notice this to be true. Set out on a weeklong trail adventure atop the 2014 Sensor Elite, the do-it-all, trail-conquering machine! GT has laid the foundation for the Sensor Elite with the GT Speed Metal? Aluminum Frame that includes a 130mm Travel Independent Drivetrain? and AOS (Angle Optimized Suspension) Suspension System that separates your pedal stroke from the actual suspension, allowing all of your energy to be exerted into the pedals so that your suspension only reacts when you need it to. A high main pivot allows the wheel to move in the direction of the impact, improving small bump sensitivity. The Sensor Expert is outfitted with a RockShox Sektor Silver TK 27.5 Solo Air up front and a Fox Racing Shox Float CTD BV in the rear, providing over five inches of travel throughout, for a satisfying combination of trail absorption and responsiveness. The RockShox Sektor Silver TK 27.5 features lockout and rebound adjustments, and 15x100mm Maxle. Designed for the kinds of riders who feel cleaner the dirtier they get, the Sensor Elite is equipped to get you up close and personal with the mud and grime. Shimano Deore makes up the bulk of the drivetrain including both derailleurs, shifters, and crankset to bring you high performance and serious off-road fun, while keeping the overall price tag to a minimum. The Sensor Elite cockpit is assembled with a resilient, yet sexy combination that includes Kore handlebar and stem, Fizik Tundra2 saddle, and Crankbrothers Cobalt seatpost. The 27.5? (650B) wheel size has become the talk of the town, for having the speed and rollover capabilities once known in only the 29? world, while offering the agility and nimbleness of a 26? bike. The Sensor Elite was designed to work in conjunction with GT’s AOS technology and the Optimized Pivot Placement for unsurpassed roll-over performance. The wheel build combination of Jalco XCD21 double wall rims, All Terra High Flange Alloy Disc hubs with sealed bearings, and Continental X-King tires, provide bullet proof durability, minimal rolling resistance and optimal traction in the corners. When your horse gallops as fast as the 27.5″ wheel size does, optimum stopping power is essential, which is why GT went with the Formula C1 disc brakes and brake levers. With the GT Sensor Elite there is no reason not to grab some buddies, climb into the saddle, strap on your hydration pack, and shred some singletrack! tag and the key features in the tags. Check with you states laws. There are limits on engine displacement and top speeds motorized bicycles are allowed to go. If you need to go 35-40 mph you need to get a small motorcycle.
