Collecting MLB Jerseys?? I am a baseball fan and thinking about collecting various jerseys of different players and teams. Are there any particular rules to follow when collecting jerseys?
I’m a Pirates fan and there are obviously jerseys I would NEVER purchase (Reds, Cubs, Yankees). Does not buying hated teams jerseys apply when collecting? Thanks for your help.
Any helpful tips / advice is always appreciated! Thanks.
Heck, I collect authentic, licensed MLB jerseys based on favorite players, teams and All Star Games. These are the ones I collect and wear proudly, even though I’m a SF Giants fan!
Barry Bonds 2003 All Star Game HR Derby Jersey – black with patches signifying the AS game in Chicago at Comiskey Park.
Barry Bonds black SF Giants alternate home jersey.
Michael Jordan black White Sox #45 jersey.
Albert Pujols red Cardinals batting practice jersey.
Ken Griffey #30 Reds pinstripe sleeveless jersey.
SF Giants gray “away” jersey personalized with my last name.
Oakland A’s green batting practice jersey personalized with my last name.
There’s no set rule about what to collect, but if you have favorite players, favorite colors, favorite teams, All Star Game jerseys or significant legend’s jerseys, the sky’s the limit! Good luck with your hobby!

At first new jersey was a dutch colony
Much of New Jersey was claimed by the Dutch. The Dutch colony of New Netherland, started in 1614, consisted of parts of modern Tri-State Area. Initially, small out-posts where built for the fur trade. In 1621, the Dutch West India Company was formed, choosing the tip of Manhattan as their North American head-quarters. In May 1624, from a ship under the command of Cornelius Jacobsen Mey (after whom Cape May is named) thirty families disembarked on Noten Island. These settlers were required to spread themselves throughout the region to Fort Amsterdam, Fort Orange, Fort Goede Hoop, and Fort Nassau. The last was on the east bank of the Zuid Rivier, the site of the first European settlement in New Jersey.
For more details on this topic, see Bergen, New Netherland.
Although the European principle of land ownership was not recognized by the Lenape, Dutch policy required formal purchase of all land settled upon, and the first such purchase was of Manhattan, by Peter Minuit, in 1626. The oldest recorded purchase in New Jersey was that of a tract along the banks of the Upper New York Bay across the North River from Fort Amsterdam in 1630. It was part of the patroonship Pavonia, named (in Latinized form) for Micheal Pauw [1] who had bought from the Lenape. At the time it was the territory of the Unami, or Turtle Clan. The settlement grew slowly, impeded by mismanagement of the Dutch West India Company and conflicts with the indigenous population know as Kieft’s War (1643-1645)and The Peach Tree War (1655). In 1658, the last Director-General of New Netherland Peter Stuyvesant “re-purchased” the entire peninsula known as Bergen Neck, and in 1661 granted a charter to the village at Bergen, establishing the oldest municipality in the state. The British take-over in 1664 was formalized of 1674, ending the province of the New Netherland, though the northeastern counties would retain a “Dutch” character for many years to come.
Jersey City & New York City? Is Jersey City a part of New York city, and since when?? I’ve been hearing people say that they’re from Jersey City in New York city
ughh excuse me bryan_q i know that Jersey City is in New Jersey, trust me I live in NJ and I know. I just asked why people say that they’re from NYC, while they are in Jersey city so calm down.
No,Jersey City is not a part of New York City.
Jersey City is in New Jersey, however Jersey City is very close to New York City so a lot of people live in Jersey City and commute to New York City to work.
Pink Jerseys And A Jersey Question? I saw a woman wearing a pink! Ottawa Senators jersey today! To be honest, I was totally disgusted! I think pink jerseys totally ruin the whole idea of hockey, but, hey, I guess if it’s your thing……Does anyone else despise them as much as I do?
Anyway, to make it kind of sort of a hockey question and sticking with the whole jersey thing:
Your favorite hockey jersey of all time? In any league, any time period.
Pink jerseys are only acceptable if you a little girl , like 5 through maybe 12 . Or if you are playing in a breast cancer charity game. Otherwise they do scream bunny .
I do like many jerseys. I really do not have a clear cut favorite. But I do like the Red Wings , Blackhawks, Panthers and the old Coyotes third jersey, before they switched logos .
EDIT : Hey JayK I happen to like those old Coyotes jerseys . They are much more creative and cooler then the boring ones they changed too. Seems most teams when they change looks have shopped at Dull Logos R Us
EDIT #2 Sorry Jay K. I guess I misread your answer . Oh well. been a long day . Not surpriing. If somethings would go right, then that would happen less.

Although the European principle of land ownership was not recognized by the Lenape, Dutch policy required formal purchase of all land settled upon, and the first such purchase was of Manhattan, by Peter Minuit, in 1626.

View CommentYour favorite hockey jersey of all time? In any league, any time period.
Pink jerseys are only acceptable if you a little girl , like 5 through maybe 12 . Or if you are playing in a breast cancer charity game. Otherwise they do scream bunny .
View CommentI do like many jerseys.

NEW JERSEY'S CULTURAL FESTIVAL TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 29
Free cultural celebration to showcase art, music, dance, crafts and food in day-long festivities
Trenton, NJ - Governor Jon S. Corzine and Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells will
host New Jersey's Cultural Festival on September 29 at South Riverwalk Park in Trenton
from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Festival will showcase art, music, dance, crafts, special
children's activities and food during an all-day free event for the family. The rain date is
September 30.
"New Jersey takes great pride in our rich cultural heritage with over 145 distinct ethnic
populations that play an important role in our social fabric," said Governor Corzine. "The
New Jersey Cultural Festival is a great way for families and individuals to celebrate the
Garden State's vast multicultural community."
"We are so pleased to be able to offer such a unique cross-cultural and intergenerational
experience for our families and children to showcase the breadth and depth of our state's
cultural richness," said Secretary Wells. "The aim of this outdoor celebration is to
heighten awareness among New Jersey residents and to foster a mutual understanding
and respect for our State's cultures and traditions through the exchange and performance
of cultural arts."
The Festival celebration kicks off at 11:00 a.m., with continuous cultural performances.
A highlight will be a naturalization ceremony for new American citizens at 1 p.m. The
festivities will continue until 5 p.m.
South Riverwalk Park was built in 2004 on the banks of the Delaware River in Trenton.

Map Of Jersey City, New Jersey? I’m running a board game with some friends (Kinda like a board game, a pen and paper RPG.) I need a hawk’s-eye view map of Jersey City, New Jersey, preferably with buildings shown, but at least in grid form. I need a map my party can use to navigate their way through the city. Thanks!
