Thanks for the great advice on safety gear. I am just starting to ride a
bike as I’ve been running to try and lose weight and be healthier. However,
my kids (9 and 11) can’t keep up the mileage with me anymore so they want
to start riding bikes together as they also need to lose a few pounds and
I’m really trying to show them a positive role model in terms of being a
single mom, eating healthy, and exercising regularly. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. I’ve been out of shape for the longest time, but
after losing 65 pounds and shrinking to 110 pounds, I plan on getting back
on my bike and trikke this year and the refresher course in bike safety is
appreciated. You have to check out trikke.com. to know what the — a
trikke is. No wheels, no pedals, a full-body workout and more fun than any
    bike on the market.

Hey, have you tried Bellyfattack yet? Simply search on Google. On there you
will see a practical free video by a successful doctor revealing how you
can eliminate extra fat. This made it possible for Andrew to reduce his
belly fat. Hopefully it helps you also…

I am a recent college graduate and I live 2 mins from the Silver Comet
trail here in Georgia. I have a bike but no safety gear. My breaks went out
on my bike and it scared me so I haven’t felt safe since. I really want to
get back out in the sunshine and enjoy it. Some new gear would give me some
great new confidence. Love you both ! ! !

Thanks for the overview on safety,I am starting up riding my bike again
after a few years not riding for various reasons, so that helped I could
not remember if I was to ride with or against traffic as I see people doing
both as it is. and I really like how you two really work as a team and how
Janice helped point out some of the things that may have been missed by
viewers. OH , and good luck to whom ever wins the helmet too!

Love all the tips. I always cringe when I see people ride on the sidewalks.
I started cycling a few years ago, as part of my lose weight regimine. I
actually have lost over 60 pounds mainly working out with Jillian almost
everyday. My latest favorite is the Shed & Shred dvd. I actually completed
2 triathlons last year. I am training for a half marathon this year. Not bad
for a 43 yr. mom of 4, and grandma to 2. I say if you can complete a
Jillian workout you can do anything.I need a new helment.

You 2 are so much fun to learn from. I’m like a kid in a candy store
watching this video. I just started biking and rode 19 miles last weekend.
Yay! Now, If I could ask the Universe for some nifty gear? ? Thanks ladies!

I love to ride, but can not unless I throw it in the truck and go to a
park. Live in a more rural area and the one lane roads where everyone goes
soo fast, is not safe. Thanks for the tips and the backpack and helmet are
    very cool.

ur really not overwieght!! but cycling wont burn all fat.. just some.

Both of the above answers are wrong. You cannot burn fat from one area of your body. You can only tone one area of your body. When you lose fat, you gradually lose it from all of your body.

Cycling is an excellent sport to lose fat. Nothing burns more calories than a hard bike ride. Just make sure you diet at the same time.

Lisa h is correct. Don’t know why people answer questions they don’t know the answer to!

Cycling is arobic, you loose weight from your body in general, no such thing as spot reduction. Arobics is how you lose fat the fastest. A slow short ride will do little but a 30 to 45 min. medium to hard ride will burn calories and condition your heart and lungs.

Biking does work out your legs and butt. The more you lean forward over your bars the more butt muscle you use.

It does NOT work out your upper body much at all, abs least of all. If you want to tone your core, shoulders, back and arms you’ll need some weight or other resistance workout. Doing both would give you the best health and looks you can attain.

    Good luck
