I am planning on touring the Himalaya’s soon with my wife, we going to do
it on Brompton folding bikes believe it or not but will always have the
brooks saddle!. Everyone says we should do it on a Birdy or Bike Friday,
everyone have their own preference and that includes saddle!…safe touring

i used a BROOKS FLYER for a 2000mile 39 day trip, i never got saddle sore.
Leather saddles mould to your shape, gel padded your bum is constantly
pushing down trying to mould but the gel won’t allow it, creating pressure,
creating saddle sore. Leather is the best option for bicycle touring.

I would get one that has a aerodynamic shell for 2 reasons 1. Weather. 2.
Less drag obviously and i would have it geared for more torque not speed
that way it’s easier to pedal.

This video had very little to do with picking a bicycle. The title should
have been “How to pick a saddle”. Please post up a vid of actually how to
pick a bicycle based on frame geometries, wheel choices, cockpit, the
    factors that actually differentiate bikes.

A gel seat, it’s an excellent heat insulator as any type of foam, gel it’s
shiftable meaning it would cause a great amount of friction, leather by the
other hand doesn’t have any kind of foam or gel letting you transpire and
it’s a smooth frictionless surfaces. And ok saddle it’s a very personal
experience but don’t judge leather saddles when you obvioulsy haven’t even
try one, there no beatin confort for a breaked in Brooks we don’t choose
    Brooks for an aesthethic reason
