    A lot for the money I compared this headlight to a NiteRider Mako 100 and a Cateye HL-EL530. I decided not to include my Cateye HL-EL300 because the lens is scratched and cloudy. I put fresh batteries in all the lights and fully charged the Cycle Torch Shark 300. The Cycle Torch mount is elegantly simple and fit over my thick foam grips, but I don’t expect it to last as long as the other mounts.     Great light, although a little disadvantaged by being the “middle child” Ah, the middle child. The Cycle Torch Shark 300 strives to be the smaller brother of Shark 500, and the bigger brother of the Cycle Torch Night Owl, but it would appear to feel a little lost.—THE GOOD—>> Retaining the great light spreading characteristic of the Shark 500, the Shark 300 is also able to spread the light is a somewhat rectangular shape, which illuminates the road nicely at night, instead of an unfocused beam of light that spreads everywhere.
