Does A Basket On A Bike Look Stupid? On a black and white city bike, the basket is square and black.

It’s my bike and I’m a 17 year old girl

No, baskets can make a bike look very expensive, classy, elegant, and vintage. Baskets on bikes are in trend at the moment and you see a lot of photoshoots being taken with them for a classy feel. Baskets can look especially cute if you put a bunch of flowers in them

I Just Moved To A College City And Need A Road Bike.. What Should I Be Looking For? I’ve never owned a bike before, and don’t know anything about them. I want one that has a basket or a place where I can attach one..
    Thanks!

When you are talking about road bikes it usually means 10 speed road racing bikes. You want to look at commuter, town, city, or hybrid bikes. You can attach a basket to the front or rear on any bike. Check the local bike shops or buy online. Walmart and other department store bikes are junk.

Go to this site and look at the different bikes.

What Is The Best Bike For Commuting And Carry Thing(like Groceries, bags)?

Depends on how many groceries bags you plan on loading on the bike. For light shopping, get a hybrid or performance hybrid. Some come from the factory with a rear rack. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/escape.city/8910/48611/ I use Sunlite C-Sport Grocery Getter Pannier Bags – http://sunlitecycling.com/product_detail.php?short_code=C-Sport+Grocery+Getter+Pannier+Bag&cl1=BAGS Better than a basket because they can be removed when not in use.

For heavy hauling, you’ll need a touring road bike or other bike designed to carry that much weight. I’ve had up to FOUR full grocery bags on my Raleigh Sojourn with the aid of front pannier bag racks.

Whats the difference between a road bike, a mountain bike, a cruiser ect. I live in a flat city, and only plan on using it for getting to and from work…. Takin rides in the park… Nothin real serious. Whats the best bike kind for the casual biker?

You buy a bike for what you will do with it. In your case, riding on streets, roads, bike paths. To commute and light recreation. The only thing missing is the terrain you live in, But it would make little difference in this case. The answer is a road bike… the type a hybrid.

A hybrid bike will offer you the upright sitting you want, with a light frame, road gearing, and wider smooth tires. It will offer you a smooth, comfortable, fast ride on all the surfaces and terrains you will meet. Add a rear rack, and attach a large stainless basket to the rack. You can toss in books, bags, even a large bag of groceries with no muss or fuss.
